The YMCA’s youth sports programs offer a supportive and fun environment for children to develop athletic skills and build confidence. With a variety of sports available, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and swimming, these programs emphasize fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Experienced coaches provide personalized instruction, helping young athletes improve their abilities and enjoy the benefits of physical activity. The YMCA’s youth sports programs not only enhance fitness but also teach valuable life lessons, such as discipline and perseverance, fostering overall personal growth.
Youth Sports Programs
Our Y offers a wide variety of youth sports programs and camps: Volleyball, Pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball and Soccer.
Rookie Basketball (Ages 4-6)
This skill development program promotes basketball basics in an environment which encourages fun, character development, and social responsibility. Program runs October – December.
Youth Basketball (Ages 7-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18)
Continue to build on skills learned in Rookie Basketball while focusing on an environment that practices the core values of The YMCA. Program runs January – March.
Fall Rec Soccer (Ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13)
A skill developing program promoting soccer basics in an environment which encourages fun, character building, and social responsibility. Parent involvement is encouraged. Participants must wear shin guards and players aged 7+ must wear soft-spiked cleats. Program runs August – October.
Spring Rec Soccer (Ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13)
A skill developing program promoting soccer basics in an environment which encourages fun, character building, and social responsibility. Parent involvement is encouraged. Participants must wear shin guards and players aged 7+ must wear soft-spiked cleats. Program runs April – June.
