The YMCA of Harrison County offers a diverse range of programs designed to cater to various age groups and interests, fostering community engagement and personal development. For children and teens, the YMCA provides child watch, camps/clinics, and sports leagues, which focus on building skills, confidence, and friendships in a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, our Y often hosts community events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities, emphasizing its commitment to social responsibility and community strengthening. Programs Coming Soon

We are excited to announce two very unique and special programs coming up! HydroFit and Rock Steady Boxing will be making their way to your Y! These programs aim to enhance are already robust programming and take challenge to a new level. HydroFit is an intensive aquatic water program. Rock Steady Boxing is a health and wellness program designed for people with Parkinson’s Disease.

Aquatics

The YMCA’s aquatics programs offer comprehensive swimming and water safety instruction for all ages and skill levels. From beginner swim lessons for children and adults to advanced training for competitive swimmers, the Y emphasizes building confidence and proficiency in the water. Additionally, they provide lifeguard certification courses and water fitness classes, such as aqua aerobics, to promote health and wellness. Adult Sports

Equipped with state-of-the-art Matrix Cardio equipment, modern exercise machines, free weights, and a dedicated plyometrics space, the center provides a wide range of options to meet diverse fitness goals. Experienced trainers and staff offer personalized fitness plans, guidance, and support to help members achieve their health objectives.

Group Exercises

We offer a wide variety of group exercise classes designed to cater to all fitness levels and interests. From high-energy options like Country Heat, Refit, Curls & Crunches, and spin classes to calming practices such as yoga and Pilates, there is something for everyone. These classes are led by experienced instructors who provide guidance and motivation, ensuring participants get the most out of their workouts. Group exercise at the Y not only improves physical fitness but also fosters a sense of community and accountability, making it easier for members to stay committed to their health and wellness goals.

Child Care & Programs

The YMCA provides convenient child care drop-off services, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children while parents attend to their activities. From arts and crafts and educational activities to sports and recreational play, children can explore new hobbies and develop essential skills. Special programs and clubs at the Y, such as Pokémon clubs, specialized camp weeks, and Parent Night Out offer unique opportunities for personal growth and learning, fostering a well-rounded development in a supportive community setting.
