Wellness Center Orientation

New to fitness? Want a better idea of how to use our equipment? Need guidance on which machines to use? We’re here for you. At the Y, you will find new opportunities and the resources you need to tap into your potential.

80’s Dance: FRIDAY, MAY 16TH!

Step onto the dance floor and experience a night of fun and excitement with our Community Dance series—where every event brings a new, creative theme! Whether it’s a retro night, a tropical fiesta, or a masquerade ball, we’re here to get you moving and grooving.

Enjoy a lively atmosphere, great music, and a chance to connect with friends and neighbors. Light snacks and bottled water will be available to keep you energized as you dance the night away.

Cost: $10 for Members $15 for Non-Members

Bring your best moves and dress for the theme, then join us for an unforgettable night at the YMCA of Harrison County. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!

Sprint 8 by Matrix

New January 2025! Ready to see results you can feel and see? Sprint 8 goes beyond traditional high-intensity interval training with scientifically proven, sprint-intensity workouts that are quick, simple, and effective. Rock Steady Boxing

Classes, taught by Certified Rock Steady Boxing Coaches, include an exercise program that attacks Parkinson’s at its vulnerable neurological points. While focusing on overall fitness, strength training, reaction time and balance, workouts include: ring work, focus mitts, heavy bags, speed bags, free-standing reflex bag, jump rope, core work, calisthenics and circuit weight training.

RSB enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight their disease by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness programs that improve their quality-of-life and sense of efficacy and self-worth. RSB offers classes to accommodate varying degrees of Parkinson’s/fitness levels.

Group exercise is one of the many ways the Y supports its members in their healthy living lifestyle. Our group exercise programs are designed by fitness professionals to keep you social, active, and having fun!

Active Older Adults

Active Older Adults (AOA) experience a great sense of belonging, friendship and support from their communities. Our hope is that our AOA population is strengthened by the network of peer support that they receive day in and day out.

Aqua Exercise Classes

Water Group Exercise offers a fun way to be healthy and active. We have highly trained fitness professionals to engage your body and mind while in the water!

Personal Training

Here at the Y we have certified personal trainers on site that are available to help you design a program that best fits your needs! Whether you are looking to build muscle, increase endurance, or increase performance, our trainers are here to help!

Wellness for Life Coaching

This FREE 30 day program is designed to support you in your healthy living journey. Start with one of our wellness coaches today!

Youth Fit Certification

This free certification is for members ages 12-15 who wish to use the wellness center. The Youth Fit certification consists of at least one, 60-minute session with a Wellness Coach to learn proper techniques, Wellness Center rules and basic exercise guidelines. Completion of this program is required before using the Wellness Center independently.
